PAHC
Pilipino/Pilipinx Association for Health Careers
PAHC HISTORY
The Pilipino Association for Health Careers started through a group of students who recognized the need for a support system among pre-health students at UC Berkeley. PAHC aims to educate the public about current health issues in and around the Pilipino community. We develop a structure of dedicated students to integrate their knowledge, experience, and skills to seek information on various health issues and careers. PAHC provides information and services to aid the Pilipino community, as well as all who are health-conscious, both academically and individually.
PAHC prides itself on providing its members with incredible student support, the opportunity to learn about health internships/programs, and the chance to develop and hone crucial leadership and communication skills. We offer informative meetings which foster the growth of passionate and comprehensive health leaders. Our meetings and events allow students to discover which facet of health they are most interested in pursuing and guide them to become the most successful and resourceful leaders in that field. We also provide networking opportunities through joint meetings with other organizations, social mixers, and conferences.
PAHC also expands beyond its campus by educating the greater community of the health issues rampant both locally and globally by actively collaborating with other health organizations, the Berkeley community, and other communities beyond.
Furthermore, we take an assertive role in helping promote minorities in health to pursue health-related careers through our networks, mentorship, and professional support.
