On behalf of the Pilipinx Community at UC Berkeley, the 2020-2021 Pil execs and community liaison are opening applications for the slating of the Pilipinx Community Endorsed candidate for ASUC Senate. The Minorities in Health Conference Scholarship, which was established in Spring 2021, awards two undergraduate students, two high school students, and one community college student ($500 each) who are interested in pursuing a health career and reducing health disparities. Minorities in Health Conference is an annual conference that takes place each spring hosted by a coalition of UC Berkeley minority-focused health organizations (UC Berkeley CHE, Pilipino Association for Health Careers, BSHA, Asian American and Pacific Islander Health Research Group, and Cal Undergraduate Public Health Coalition) focused on bridging communities of color and fostering representation in the health care field. The Research and Academic Mentorship Program (RAMP) sponsored by the Pilipino Association for Health Careers (PAHC) aims to partner qualified undergraduate students from the Pilipinx/Pilipinx-American community of UC Berkeley with mentorship and research opportunities with campus faculty.
